Autocheck is the chief competitor of Carfax in the Vehicle History Report business.  While Carfax has the more recognizable name because of their multi-million dollar advertising campaigns, Autocheck is the trusted name used by most lending institutions, auto auctions and dealers.  The reason these businesses choose Autocheck over Carfax is simple, Autocheck reports twice as many accidents as Carfax.  Autocheck is a division of Experian, the most trusted name in providing critical information to consumers and businesses who need to make critical financial and purchase decisions.

In our experience, it is important for consumers to request to see both vehicle history reports in order to make an infomed decision.  We regularly see customers who have purchased vehicles with no accidents reported on the Carfax only to find out when they trade the vehicle in that it has actually been in an accident or worse, had serious frame damage.  A vehicle with frame damage can be worth many thousands of dollars less than a similar vehicle without frame damage.  Don't make the mistake of assuming that a vehicle with no reported accidents on the Carfax is accident free.  Request to see both an Autocheck and Carfax report before purchasing any pre-owned vehicle.

At Richards', we offer our customers free Autocheck and Carfax Vehicle History Reports on all of our vehicles.  Autocheck reports are available for every vehicle in our inventory on our website and Carfax reports are available upon request.  If there is a vehicle in stock that you would like to see the Carfax report for, please contact Mike Warwick at 781-322-6600 or via email at Mikew@Richardsmotorcars.com.
